To support its production teams, our client is looking for motivated Operator Helpers / General Labourers who already have experience in a manufacturing setting. This position is a true entry point: with in-house training, you will build your technical skills and have the opportunity to move up to a production operator role.

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the production supervisor and working directly in support of the operators, the Operator Helper / General Labourer contributes to smooth production. This person keeps equipment supplied, handles products, keeps work areas clean, and helps ensure quality and safety standards are met.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supply production equipment with raw materials and supplies.
• Assist operators during start-ups, job changeovers, and adjustments.
• Handle, stack, and palletize work-in-progress and finished products.
• Move materials using a manual or electric pallet jack.
• Perform visual inspections and report any quality issues.
• Sort and remove waste according to the recycling procedures in place.
• Clean equipment and keep the work area clean and safe.
• Take part in basic preventive maintenance, 5S initiatives, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure clear communication during shift handovers.
• Follow occupational health and safety rules and wear the required protective equipment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience as a general labourer, manual worker, or operator helper in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in French, both spoken and written (essential).
• Availability to work rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights, and weekends).
• Ability to perform physical work: standing for long periods and handling loads.
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in industrial equipment.
• High school diploma (DES) or equivalent, an asset.
