INDUSTRIAL DRAFTSMAN SOLIDWORKS EN

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Draftsman for our client located in Dorval, specializing in telecommunication parts and equipment manufacturing. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for producing precise drawings and documentation to support factory production using SolidWorks.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and update 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.

• Produce product installation instructions and assembly guidelines for production departments.

• Generate CAD files in standard formats (STEP, DXF, etc.).

• Participate in the review, modification, and optimization of existing engineering drawings.

• Provide ongoing technical support and answer questions from the production team on the shop floor.

• Ensure all designs comply with internal engineering and manufacturing standards.

Exigences

3. REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Education : Diploma (DEP, DEC, or AEC) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Drafting, or equivalent.

• Experience : 1 to 5 years of experience in a similar drafting role within a manufacturing environment.

• Technical Skills : Proficiency in SolidWorks is mandatory (experience with AutoCAD or an ERP is an asset).

• Languages : Bilingualism (French and English, written and spoken).
