A Little About Us ❤️ Are you an experienced nanny, childcare professional, or early childhood education student who loves adventure, the outdoors, and endless belly laughs with a curious toddler? We're a warm, active, professional family living in beautiful North Saanich, looking for a kind, dependable, and enthusiastic nanny to help care for our wonderful 2¼-year-old son. Our little guy is full of personality! He's curious, energetic, affectionate, and loves exploring the world around him. Whether it's playing outside, discovering something new, visiting the beach, or simply sharing a good laugh, there's rarely a dull moment! Our Home & Family 🌲 We live in a beautiful, quiet neighbourhood near Lands End Road, just five minutes from Sidney. Our home backs onto Horth Hill Regional Park and offers plenty of outdoor space, sunshine, and opportunities for adventure. We love spending time outdoors, enjoying good food, and creating a happy, healthy environment for our family. We also have two friendly indoor cats who are very much part of the household! As busy professionals, we value having someone we can depend on, but we're equally committed to creating a comfortable, respectful, and enjoyable working relationship. We're easygoing, communicative, and believe that kindness, trust, and a good sense of humour go a long way! What We're Looking For We're seeking someone who is patient, nurturing, energetic, and genuinely passionate about helping young children learn and grow. Your responsibilities would include: Picking our son up from daycare and bringing him home safely. Engaging him in fun, age-appropriate activities, creative play, and outdoor adventures. Preparing nutritious meals and snacks for him. Helping with his evening routine. Light tidying and organization related to childcare. Providing a safe, positive, and loving environment where he feels happy and supported. We especially appreciate someone who is creative, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative while respecting our family's routines and parenting preferences. The Ideal Candidate Has previous experience caring for toddlers. Is warm, responsible, reliable, and genuinely loves children. Enjoys outdoor activities, imaginative play, and early childhood development. Has a valid driver's licence and their own safe, reliable vehicle. Communicates openly and professionally. Is comfortable around cats. Has child first aid/CPR training (an asset). Is studying early childhood education, teaching, or a related field (an asset, but not required). Schedule & Compensation We're looking for help between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM, approximately 2–5 weekdays per week. We have flexibility in the number of days and would be happy to find a schedule that works well for the right person, particularly someone balancing school or other commitments. Compensation is competitive and negotiable based on your experience, qualifications, and overall fit. We're hoping to find someone who can build a lasting relationship with our family rather than simply fill a position.
