Job Description

The client is modernizing an on-premises enterprise solution and needs the architect who will lead the migration of data, processing and application components to an Azure Databricks platform. The role is hands-on: current and target state analysis, data models, POCs, code reviews, developer coaching and effort estimation. The profile must meet two distinct layers: the framework agreement profile 3-4 requirements, focused on application architecture (SOA, commercial software integration, implementation strategies, executive documents), and the mandate-specific requirements, focused on modern analytics architecture and big data. A data architect without documented application work fails the first layer; an application architect without Lakehouse or Spark fails the second. Level 2 security clearance from the ministère de la Sécurité publique and Quebec-only remote work narrow the pool further.

Target candidate: an application architect with 15+ years in IT, including at least 7 in architecture, who has led at least two large-scale cloud migrations and designed a Lakehouse architecture on Databricks and Spark from a SQL Server, SSIS or .NET legacy. They document, mandate by mandate, their system architecture, SOA and commercial software integration roles, and bring hands-on graph database and IaC experience.

• Profile citing Azure or Databricks with a single cloud migration mandate, or a migration without documented scale.
  
• Profile citing a graph database without demonstrated design and operation in a mandate.
  
• Resume without dates, clients or scale per mandate, preventing completion of the Excel grid criterion by criterion.
  
• Candidate unable to work remotely from Quebec or declining the security clearance process.
