Booking Correction Assistant
Office Administration • Booking Corrections
Remote work / Full-time or part-time / 24.75–26.25 per hour
An appointment has been entered, but a customer notices an incorrect name, contact address, or service description. The Booking Correction Assistant checks the approved booking record, corrects permitted administrative fields, and sends the case to a scheduler if the change affects the time or service. This is a part-time remote position combining customer service with office administration. You will not decide whether an appointment can be moved or whether a different service is available.
Change only what was verified
A customer may write that their email address has one wrong character. Match the request to the right appointment and follow the employer's verification steps. If the correction concerns a date or duration, pass it to the scheduler rather than treating it as a typo. After an authorized edit, review the online confirmation details to see whether the intended field saved correctly. If a new notice needs to be sent, use the approved process so the customer does not receive two contradictory invitations.
Some bookings cover more than one participant. Note whose details are being corrected. If a submitted form and calendar invitation disagree, flag the conflict and identify the source you checked. A useful response distinguishes “we received your correction” from “the booking has been updated.” The actual status should be visible to the team that greets or supports the customer later.
Your work
Review assigned booking correction emails and forms. Identify the right online appointment and participant. Check which fields your access allows you to change.
Correct approved contact or spelling details. Refer date, capacity, or service changes to the scheduler. Verify the saved record and approved confirmation.
Record the source and outcome of each correction.
Customer service and office administration backgrounds are useful, but a beginner can learn the employer's booking system and boundaries. You should be comfortable comparing records and asking before an edit that could alter a person's appointment.
The hiring company will specify hours and equipment.
If an automated reminder is scheduled, flag a correction that has not yet been applied. The team can decide whether to pause the notice so the customer does not receive a wrong detail. A useful record shows the original field, requested correction, and confirmed final value without making assumptions about a different appointment.
The work is limited to approved administrative corrections; scheduling decisions remain with the employer's designated team.
A misspelled name, an incorrect time zone and a different service type are not the same kind of correction. Check the original booking instruction and the employer's approval rule before changing a field. If the proposed fix alters availability or who will attend, send it to the scheduler for confirmation. A corrected entry may also need a new invitation or notice; note which people received the earlier version. The customer should have one clear, confirmed set of details rather than two conflicting messages.
Some errors are spotted before a confirmation is sent, while others are reported after the customer has saved an invitation. Keep those cases distinct in the online schedule. If you cannot verify the right value from an approved source, hold the change and ask a focused question. Beginners are welcome: the employer will train you on its calendar permissions and notification steps. Experience checking school appointments, customer forms or volunteer schedules can show the attention to detail needed. A suitable home office helps protect booking information during remote work.
For consideration
Describe a time you corrected a record and checked that the change appeared in the final version. Any responsible setting can provide the example. You can mention how you informed others after the corrected booking was confirmed.
Previous scheduling employment is optional. If invited to another review stage, you may need to use the employer’s website to complete its application. The team will explain its booking permissions and training.
