Program Manager -Cybersecurity Transformation

MatchBox Consulting is urgently seeking a Program Manager - Cybersecurity Program for a 12 month contract for our New Westminster based public sector client. This is a hybrid role 2 days on site and 3 days remote.

Program Manager – Cyber Security Program
About the role
Lead a cyber security program that strengthens security and resiliency across the enterprise. You will join an existing team of staff and contract program managers within the IT program delivery office (PMO). The work includes feasibility studies and implementation projects.
Solid experience with program management of large and complex programs along with IT infrastructure and security related projects is essential, as is the ability to prepare solid business cases and program planning documentation based on information provided by business and technology stakeholders.
Responsibilities

• Develop business cases, project plans and supporting documents using the organization’s standard project management methodology.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, contracts, risks, issues, quality and communications across the full project lifecycle.
• Direct internal and contracted resources, including business analysts, data analysts, developers and QA analysts.
• Run project governance, including steering and technical advisory committees.
• Provide monthly and ad hoc status reports to stakeholders.
• Oversee technical delivery from design through build, testing, deployment and change management.
• Manage supplier and sub-contractor performance.

• Business cases, project charters and integrated project plans
• Monthly status reports
• Budget and cash flow forecasts
• RAID register (risks, actions, issues, decisions)
• Change requests
• Steering committee materials
• Closeout reports
• Change management support

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or Computer Science
• Program management experience (mandatory)
• 8-10+ years of full-cycle technology project management
• Experience managing projects with budgets over $2M and teams of more than 10 people
• Experience managing complex contracts
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including presenting to executives
• Experience with organizational change management
• Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project and SharePoint

Assets

• Cyber security and information security experience (strongly desirable)
• PMP designation
