Job description

SAP Fiori/UI5 Developer

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada
Employment Type: Contractor

Contract Length: Initial 1-year contract

Role Overview

We are seeking a senior SAP Fiori/UI5 Developer with 7–10 years of SAP technical development experience and strong hands-on expertise in SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and SAP S/4HANA integrations. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and supporting SAP applications using SAP Build Work Zone, RAP/CAP, OData V2/V4, CDS Views, and Fiori Elements, with a strong understanding of SAP Clean Core principles, security, and user experience standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and support SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 applications.

  • Configure and administer SAP Fiori Launchpad, including Spaces, Pages, Catalogs, Roles, Tiles, and Target Mappings.

  • Configure and support SAP Build Work Zone, including Work Zone Cards and UI Integration Cards.

  • Develop applications using SAP RAP and CAP frameworks, Fiori Elements, CDS Views, and CDS Annotations.

  • Build, expose, and consume OData V2/V4 services.

  • Integrate SAP Fiori and BTP applications with SAP S/4HANA and other enterprise systems.

  • Support APIs, SAP Gateway integrations, BTP connectivity, destinations, authentication, and authorization.

  • Collaborate with solution architects, functional consultants, and technical teams on solution design, technical reviews, deployments, and production support.

  • Follow SAP Clean Core principles, UX standards, enterprise architecture guidelines, and security and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of SAP technical development experience.

  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and SAP BTP.

  • Experience configuring SAP Fiori Launchpad and SAP Build Work Zone.

  • Development experience with RAP/CAP, OData V2/V4, CDS Views, CDS Annotations, and Fiori Elements.

  • Experience using SAP Business Application Studio.

  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, XML, and JSON.

  • Experience integrating SAP applications with SAP S/4HANA in enterprise environments.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience supporting solution design, deployment planning, and production operations.

Nice to Have

  • SAP S/4HANA implementation or support experience.

  • Knowledge of ABAP, SAP Gateway, and backend enablement services.

  • Experience with SAP BTP security, connectivity, destinations, IAS, and IPS.

  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, Agile, SAP Activate, or DevOps methodologies.

  • Knowledge of SAP Clean Core principles and SAP Fiori UX guidelines.

  • Experience working in regulated environments with strict audit and compliance requirements.

  • Spanish language proficiency.
