Job description

Our client is seeking an Intermediate-Senior Supply Chain Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the design, testing, and implementation of Supply Chain deliverables within a large-scale ERP transformation project for a public sector entity (Hybrid, Edmonton AB — 2 days minimum onsite, full weeks onsite when Consultant/SI are in office).

Overview:

This SME will document and map current- and future-state Supply Chain business processes, build and execute SIT/UAT test scripts, and lead data migration validation and cutover activities for an S/4HANA implementation. The role requires deep, hands-on Supply Chain module experience — not general ERP or Business Analysis breadth — and the ability to bridge business requirements with system functionality throughout testing and go-live.

Must-Haves:

  • 5-7+ years of dedicated, hands-on functional experience specifically within S/4HANA Supply Chain modules (e.g., Material Management (MM), PM, PP, EWM, QM, IBP)
  • Experience with SAP Ariba
  • Experience developing and executing System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts specific to Supply Chain modules
  • Experience with complex, integrated Cloud ERP projects (SAP Cloud preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with data validation and cutover activities on ERP conversions
  • Experience documenting current- and future-state Supply Chain business processes
  • Able to attain Enhanced Security Clearance

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Applicable degree or professional certification(s)
  • Experience with Google Suite
  • Experience leading UAT testing sessions with business area testers

Responsibilities:

  • Document and analyze current-state business processes and map to future-state ERP workflows
  • Collaborate with the system integration partner and review solution design documents
  • Write, update, and execute SIT and UAT scripts; lead UAT sessions
  • Perform data reviews, reconciliation, and validation; automate where possible
  • Define data validation steps and issue resolution plans for data conversion and cutover
  • Participate in cutover, performing data validations and resolving issues
  • Maintain project documentation and review training/user materials for accuracy
