Job Title: Java Developer

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and driven Java Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and reliable backend systems. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that drive our business forward. You will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, from concept and architecture to testing and deployment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Application Development: Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-tested Java code adhering to industry best practices.
  • Architecture & Design: Design robust backend architectures, RESTful APIs, and microservices that can handle high throughput and low latency.
  • Database Management: Design, optimize, and interact with relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases.
  • Testing & Quality: Conduct unit, integration, and performance testing using automated testing frameworks to ensure software reliability.
  • CI/CD & Deployment: Participate in DevOps practices, leveraging CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment and infrastructure management.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose, debug, and resolve complex production issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaboration: Partner with product managers, frontend engineers, and system architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

Required Technical Skills

  • Core Java: Deep understanding of Java 8+ (or Java 11/17/21 depending on your stack), OOP concepts, multithreading, and concurrency.
  • Frameworks: Extensive experience with the Spring Ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data).
  • API Development: Proven experience building and consuming RESTful Web Services (JSON, XML).
  • Databases: Strong proficiency with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and ORM frameworks like Hibernate/JPA.
  • Build Tools: Experience with build automation tools like Maven or Gradle.
  • Version Control: Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows (GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket).

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Cloud Platforms: Experience deploying applications on cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Microservices & Containers: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservice design patterns.
  • Messaging Systems: Experience with message brokers like Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • NoSQL Databases: Experience with MongoDB, Redis, or Cassandra.
  • Testing Tools: Experience with JUnit, Mockito, or Testcontainers.

Soft Skills & Education

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical thinking and debugging capabilities.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical ideas clearly.
  • Teamwork: A collaborative mindset with a willingness to participate in code reviews and mentor junior peers.
