Discovery Community College (DCC) is seeking an experienced and student-focused Student Financial Aid & Accounts Manager to lead financial aid administration and student accounts operations across our campuses.
This role is responsible for maintaining effective financial aid processes, supporting regulatory compliance, overseeing student receivables, and ensuring students receive accurate and timely guidance regarding their funding options.
The successful candidate will bring strong knowledge of Student Aid BC, student accounts, tuition management, and financial aid compliance within a post-secondary environment.
This Full-Time on-site opportunity offers a dynamic and rewarding work environment and may lead to long-term career growth within the College.
Work Location : Can be based at any of our campuses (Surrey, Maple Ridge, Prince George, Kelowna, Campbell River, Nanaimo or Langford) operating on provincial capacity.
Salary range: $60,000 to $75,000 per annum (depending on experience) Schedule: Monday to Friday Key Responsibilities Oversee provincial, federal, Indigenous, WorkBC, employer-sponsored, and third-party student funding programs.
Ensure compliance with StudentAid BC, PTIRU requirements, designation agreements, privacy legislation, and audit requirements.
Lead student accounts operations, including receivables, tuition collections, payment plans, refunds, withdrawals, and account reconciliation.
Provide guidance and support related to student funding, financial literacy, and account-related inquiries.
Lead, train, and support Financial Aid, Registration, and Student Accounts staff while promoting consistent service standards across campuses.
Develop and maintain departmental policies, procedures, reporting, quality assurance measures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Higher Education Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
Three to five years of experience in financial aid administration, student accounts, or a related post-secondary function.
Strong knowledge of StudentAid BC, Canada Student Financial Assistance, tuition and receivables management, and student funding processes.
Experience working in a designated private training institution is strongly preferred.
