Nanny Wanted - Looking For Part Time Mother’s Helper In Riley Park ( Mornings)

We are a family of four (plus two friendly cats) living in Riley Park. We have: * A curious and playful 5-year-old who loves bicycling, scootering, reading, mazes, board games, and Mario Kart/Zelda * A cheerful 17-month-old who loves going outside, vehicles, balls, walking, vacuuming and dancing. We’re looking for a regular, mother’s helper / nanny who is positive, fun, calm, responsible, and experienced with young children, especially toddlers, but is confident with a 5 year old as well. We are an inclusive family and are seeking someone who is 2SLGBTQI friendly and affirming. About the Role This position will involve a mix of childcare and household support. Initially, the role will focus on caring for our 17-month-old and helping with household tasks. You’ll also help care for both children during: * Pro-D days * School breaks * Occasional days when our kindergartener is home The balance between childcare and household support may vary somewhat from week to week depending on family needs. Household Tasks Includes: * Household laundry * Tidying and organizing (putting items away) * Light housekeeping (wiping counters, sweeping/vacuuming kitchen as needed especially under table, dishes) * Pet care (feeding, changing bag in no scoop litterbox) * Other general household support ( such as watering plants, cleaning stroller, putting away groceries, etc) Schedule ~7:45 am to 10:45 am or 11:45 am ~3-5 days per week ( exact days to be agreed upon) *We’re open to tweaking the schedule a bit for the right fit. Please send us a proposal if this doesn’t quite align with your schedule, but you’re still interested. *A flexible mix of childcare and household help, typically about two-thirds childcare and one-third household tasks. The balance may vary week to week. We’re Looking For Someone Who Is * Experienced with toddlers * Warm, patient, and joyful. * Reliable and punctual. We deeply value showing up when expected, clear communication, and consistency. * Comfortable with both childcare and household tasks * Playful, present, and genuinely engaged with children. We value caregivers who enjoy interacting with kids, getting down on the floor to play, reading stories, building forts, creating activities, and following children’s interests rather than simply supervising from the sidelines (though we recognize there is a time for that too). * Proactive and able to work independently * Looking for a longer-term position if possible * Enthusiastic about getting children out into the world.
