Sr. Release and Integration Engineer

Salary: $80,000 - 120,000 per year
Requirements:
- Bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science or a related field, plus 5–10 years of integration and release engineering experience.
- Experience with development and source control tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, and Git.
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux and distributed computing environments.
- Experience using embedded software development toolchains.
- Experience with C programming; Python knowledge is an advantage.
- Experience with wireless products such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or Zigbee is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse, team-oriented environment.
- A track record of delivering products and features on schedule.
- Desirable: 5–10 years of hands-on experience integrating and managing real-time embedded systems.
- Desirable: Working knowledge of networking stacks, including Ethernet and TCP/IP.
- Desirable: A collaborative approach and urgency in meeting product timelines.
- Desirable: Experience managing complex projects with MS Project, Smartsheet, and JIRA.
- Desirable: Working knowledge of Agile development workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and deploy firmware releases for multi-component builds, including bootloaders, firmware, operating systems, and applications, using embedded toolchains.
- Establish versioning and branching strategies, and automate release promotions and changelog generation.
- Collaborate with software, ASIC, DevOps, and SQA teams to resolve deployment issues and confirm release readiness.
- Review code commits for feature readiness, stability, and performance against software and system roadmaps.
- Use AI-assisted tools to improve release speed, reliability, and engineering productivity across the software development lifecycle.
- Incorporate unit and integration test results, quarantine flaky tests, automatically bisect failures, and prevent unsafe promotions.
- Develop safe rollback and roll-forward strategies.
- Manage end-to-end SoC development workflows, from pre-silicon through launch.
- Maintain clear documentation so changes are documented, approved, and verified.
