Junior Accountant

Junior AccountantS3 Group Ltd. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our Finance team.This is an opportunity for an accounting professional looking to build their experience in a hands-on role with exposure to a wide range of financial functions. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Junior Accountant will support financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, cost accounting, cash flow management, and day-to-day accounting activities across the organization.The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and eager to continue developing their accounting knowledge while working closely with teams throughout the business.What You'll DoAs Junior Accountant, you will:Assist with the preparation, analysis, and verification of accounting records, financial statements, and reportsPrepare monthly journal entries and complete General Ledger reconciliationsAssist with monthly financial statements and budget-to-actual analysisSupport cost and production accounting, including standard cost variance analysis, inventory analysis, and overhead allocationAssist with cash flow forecasting and analysisSupport the preparation of annual budgetsComplete and submit GST and PST returnsProcess vendor invoices accurately and on timeHelp ensure financial transactions are current, accurately recorded, and efficiently processedRecord and process employee expense reports and reconcile corporate credit card statementsProvide support to Accounts Payable and Accounts ReceivableWork with departments and management across the organization to support accounting and financial needsPerform additional accounting and administrative duties as requiredWhat You BringBachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experienceTwo or more years of accounting or financial experienceStrong analytical and organizational skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to ask critical questions, verify information, and follow established processesA self-motivated and self-directed approach to your workProficiency with accounting software and MRP or ERP systemsStrong Microsoft Office skills, particularly ExcelEnrollment in the CPA program is considered an assetWhy Join S3 Group?At S3 Group, you'll have the opportunity to build practical accounting experience across a diverse range of financial functions.
