Job Summary:
The Senior Analyst, Business Development plays a key role in advancing Whistler Blackcomb’s business development priorities through partnership management, business analysis, and cross-functional project delivery. This role is primarily focused on identifying, developing, activating, and renewing partnerships and business initiatives that drive revenue growth, guest visits, and differentiated resort experiences.
Working closely with the Sr. Manager, Planning & Business Development, this role helps evaluate new opportunities, build business cases, support partner relationships, and coordinate initiatives from concept through execution. The role also contributes to seasonal planning and operational projects where needed, particularly in support of Summer, Bike Park, and Event priorities.

Job Responsibilities:
Summer, Bike Park, Special Events and Activations
- Whistler Mountain Bike Park & Event Partnerships Contract negotiation and execution Ensuring that contract deliverables are met; coordinating with Ops, Marketing, Brand and Strategic Partnerships & third party contractors Strategize, develop and manage, in concert with the partners, fresh and innovative activations and programs in tune with Vail Resorts’ resort initiatives providing incremental value for both parties. Planning and executing internal and external partner activations & media film shoots Hosting partners, including on mountain tours, partner relations Coordinating product orders, distribution and warranty Supporting VRR with partner orders connected to WMBP agreements Supporting uniform orders & product distribution Seeking out new partner opportunities Writing and submitting grant and event applications
- Supporting third party events, and partner event activations
- Supporting all divisions to deliver what is best for all guests and employees
- Summer ops development & management support Bike & hike trail network Interpretive & wayfinding signage Supporting coordination of projects with key operational stakeholders; Patrol, Bike School, Trail Crew, Ops & other departments
Business Development Initiatives and Projects:
- Investigating and assessing the economic and market conditions surrounding Whistler Blackcomb’s businesses including industry trends, competitive analyses and the gathering and interpreting of research from various sources.
- The analysis of various new and existing Whistler Blackcomb products, services and experiences.
- Developing proposals and plans to be presented to gain approval for Business Development projects.
- Assessing economic impact of potential projects.
- Considering project impact on existing Whistler Blackcomb operations.
- The coordination of the execution of approved projects and initiatives.
- Ensuring clear, effective communication and collaboration with all Vail Resorts internal and external cross-functional partners
- Measuring and monitoring the ongoing success of each Business Development project
- Developing annual business development, Summer business plans
Administrative Coordination
Job Requirements:
- Experience in a related field; relevant experience in leadership, strategic partnerships, event activations or business development preferred.
- Strong acumen and presence, with the ability to communicate clearly, influence effectively, and build credibility with leaders, stakeholders, and partners.
- Demonstrated ability to manage up, across, and through others to align stakeholders and move complex initiatives forward.

- Passion for skiing/snowboarding and mountain biking

- BC Driver’s License - Class 5
- Guiding/Coaching experience and certification in skiing, snowboarding or mountain biking is an asset (not required)
The expected pay range is $67,568.00 - $96,526.00 +annual bonus. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
