Actalent is partnering with an established engineering and manufacturing organization to identify an experienced Electrical Engineering Supervisor to lead a team of engineers and designers supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of complex electrical systems and industrial control solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineering leader who enjoys balancing technical problem-solving, team development, and project execution within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Electrical and Controls Engineers and designers.
• Oversee electrical system design, documentation, testing, and implementation activities.
• Ensure engineering deliverables are completed on schedule and meet quality expectations.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Operations, Project Management, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
• Support the development and maintenance of industrial control systems and electrical equipment.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance on complex engineering challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, reliability, efficiency, and cost optimization.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, safety requirements, and engineering best practices.
• Support project execution from concept through implementation and operational handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• . designation or eligibility for registration with APEGA.
• 5+ years of engineering experience with demonstrated leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience with electrical system design and industrial control systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or similar design software.
• Familiarity with manufacturing, industrial equipment, or engineered product environments.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and project leadership abilities.

Preferred Experience

• Industrial automation and controls.
• Product development or engineered equipment.
• Electrical panel design and control systems integration.
• Cross-functional project leadership.
• Experience supporting products through the full lifecycle from design through production.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Calgary, AB.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
