The successful candidate will provide technical support in an underground mining environment while working alongside technicians, technologists, engineers, and production personnel.

About the job:

• Provide technical support in an underground mining environment to support safe and cost-effective production.
• Work in areas including mine surveying, ventilation, and mine systems.
• Carry out measurements, calculations, designs, and inspections.
• Perform in-field troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Work closely with technicians, technologists, engineers, and production personnel.
• Incorporate modern technology and instrumentation into daily tasks.
• Support the use of automated controls, mobile devices, UAVs, and other modern mining technologies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

CANDIDATES MUST BE LOCAL TO TIMMINS.

What you need:

• Technician or Technologist diploma in Mining, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related trade.
• Advanced computer skills with an emphasis on Excel, CAD, and databases.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with 3D modelling, simulation, and automation software is nice to have.
• Comfortable working with modern mining technology and instrumentation.
