Salary range (but not limited to):
101,800 - 124,400
Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.
About the role
Intact Insurance is seeking an experienced Senior Security Advisor to strengthen its Detection Engineering in cyber defence team. This role focuses on cloud and infrastructure security, threat detection, and the development of scalable security solutions.
What you'll do here:
- Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud, on-premises, and containerized environments to support the SOC environment
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams while managing priorities independently.
- Support log ingestion, normalization, filtering, troubleshooting, and platform maintenance.
- Manage core security tools for the SOC, including Microsoft Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Purview, Agentic Internal platform
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
- 4–6 years of experience in cybersecurity, DevOps, or infrastructure. Experience in security monitoring, including SIEM, SOAR, XDR, TIP, or UEBA platforms.
- Understanding of threat actors, attack techniques, phishing, privilege escalation, lateral movement, and data exfiltration.
- Experience with cloud security across AWS, Azure, or GCP, including identity, logging, and network controls.
- Experience with Azure VMs, Load Balancer, Terraform, Kubernetes, Linux, Python, Ansible, Syslog, Logstash, CrowdStrike, and Elastic.
- Strong communication, collaboration, prioritization, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English –
- Knowledge of detection engineering, rule writing, MITRE ATT&CK, and the Cyber Kill Chain, an asset.
- Security-related certification (CEH, GCIH, GCTI, GCFE or the equivalent) or DevOps -related certification (CKA), an asset.
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
