Nanny Wanted - Cpr Certified Part Time Nanny For Preschool Pickup, Light Housekeeping And Afternoon
- Part-time
Hi! We are the Johnston family, based in Toronto, and we are looking for a warm, dependable, and experienced part-time nanny to help care for our three-year-old daughter beginning in late November or early December. The regular schedule would be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., three to five weekdays per week, depending on availability. We are happy to work together to establish a consistent schedule between Monday and Friday. There may also be opportunities for occasional weekend shifts, arranged in advance. Before school pickup, we would appreciate help with light housekeeping and keeping our home clean and organized. Our daughter finishes school at 3:30 p.m., and her school is a short, ten-minute walk from our house. After pickup, the afternoon would include spending time with her at home, playing or doing age-appropriate activities, and preparing a simple meal or snack for her before we arrive home for dinner. We will take care of the family’s dinner. Both my wife and I have flexible hybrid jobs, so one or both of us may occasionally be working from home. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working alongside parents when necessary while also taking initiative and confidently managing the afternoon routine. Our ideal candidate will have: Experience caring for preschool-aged children Current Child Care First Aid and CPR certification A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check, or a willingness to obtain one Strong references from previous families or childcare employers Legal authorization to work in Canada A warm, patient, reliable, and organized approach Early Childhood Education training or an RECE designation would be considered an asset but is not required. Preferably live in Toronto's west-end. We are offering $35-$40 per hour. Our interview process will begin with a brief phone or video conversation, followed by an in-person meeting with our family. Before making an offer, we will also contact references and confirm the required background check and certifications. We hope to find someone who will become a trusted and valued part of our daughter’s routine. If this sounds like a good fit, please send us a message introducing yourself and sharing a little about your childcare experience, qualifications, availability, and what you are looking for in your next position.
