Put your HR expertise to work in a role where your recommendations will have a tangible impact on management decisions, the employee experience, and team performance. You will join a growing North American company operating in a creative and dynamic industry, as well as a team where ideas, collaboration, and continuous improvement are valued.
As a Bilingual Human Resources Business Partner, you will primarily support managers and employees located in Western Canada. Based at our Saint-Laurent head office, you will build trusted relationships both remotely and in person, develop a strong understanding of business challenges, and recommend practical, consistent HR solutions adapted to the operational environment.
Your Mandate
You will act as an HR generalist and strategic advisor to business leaders. You will assess situations requiring HR involvement, evaluate risks, recommend appropriate courses of action, and support managers through execution. You will also contribute to the development and implementation of HR projects, processes, and practices aligned with Richelieu’s culture and business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Advise and support managers on employee relations matters, including performance management, attendance, administrative and disciplinary measures, workplace conflicts, complaints, investigations, and terminations.
Develop a strong understanding of operations, teams, and business priorities in order to provide proactive HR support rather than primarily reactive assistance.
Provide clear and practical recommendations that are consistent with internal practices, applicable policies, and relevant employment legislation.
Build credibility and strong partnerships with leaders across Western Canada through regular touchpoints, periodic site visits, and disciplined follow-up on commitments.
Support managers with talent planning, retention, succession planning, employee development, engagement, and organizational change.
Contribute to reviews of organizational structures, roles, compensation, benefits, and working conditions in collaboration with the appropriate centres of expertise.
Analyze data and prepare reports using the HRIS, including ADP Workforce Now, to support decision-making and improve process and data quality.
Participate in cross-functional and cross-departmental HR projects and support their implementation with managers and employees.
Identify trends, recurring issues, and emerging risks; recommend sustainable solutions and measure the results of HR interventions.
Manage multiple priorities from different leaders, communicate expectations clearly, and maintain complete, confidential, and well-organized documentation.
What Your Day-to-Day Could Look Like
An Operations Director wants to move quickly on a performance issue. You clarify the facts, assess the risks, establish a fair approach, and guide the manager through the next steps.
A manager tells you that a key employee may be considering leaving. You assess retention factors, internal equity, and succession needs before recommending a sustainable solution.
Two leaders are experiencing a conflict that is affecting their teams. You facilitate the discussion, refocus the conversation on business impact, and secure clear commitments.
You notice that one division is involving HR too late in the process. You establish a partnership plan, create regular touchpoints, and deepen your understanding of the operation.
A project requires you to extract and analyze reports from ADP Workforce Now to support improvements to the HRIS or an HR process.
