Job description

Salary: $60,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of Tier 2 or higher IT support experience, including at least 3 years supporting and administering Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Experience with Entra ID, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues beyond basic Tier 1 support, with strong working knowledge of Windows and experience supporting hardware and software.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple support requests in a busy environment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, including the ability to support non-technical users with patience and clarity.
  • Practical, analytical, and resourceful troubleshooting skills; ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and escalate when appropriate.
  • Ability and willingness to travel periodically to company locations across Southern Ontario; the posting specifies travel of up to 25%.
  • Post-secondary education in IT, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Hands-on or field-based IT support experience and experience in an MSP, multi-location, or varied IT environment are assets.
  • Experience with Intune or other device management platforms, Microsoft security tools and concepts such as MFA and conditional access, document management, RMM tools, endpoint management, or multi-location organizations is beneficial.
  • A positive, collaborative approach, sound ownership and follow-through, and an interest in resolving root causes while supporting a healthy team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for day-to-day IT support, managing requests from intake through resolution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 2 issues involving Microsoft 365, Windows and Apple devices, hardware, software, and user access.
  • Prioritize support requests according to urgency, business impact, and employee needs.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including account setup, access, software, and equipment.
  • Coordinate software installations, device configuration, and other technical requirements.
  • Work directly with employees to understand problems, explain solutions clearly, and follow through until issues are resolved.
  • Research and troubleshoot unfamiliar or undocumented technical problems using available resources and sound problem-solving practices.
  • Travel to company locations across Southern Ontario to provide hands-on support as needed.
  • Provide occasional after-hours on-call support for urgent or critical issues; regular hours are standard business hours.
  • As capacity allows, contribute to IT initiatives involving security, procurement, systems improvements, infrastructure, and other projects.

We are hiring a Tier 2 IT Support Specialist for a full-time position in Southern Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area. Our IT environment is growing and evolving, offering variety, learning opportunities, and visible impact. You will be a key support contact for employees, with potential to contribute to broader technology initiatives as you become familiar with our systems. The role is hybrid with regular on-site presence, primarily office-based, and may involve setting up or moving IT equipment.
