Job description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Cloud Data Developer to join a market leader in the data and compliance space. Operating within an Agile framework, you will play a pivotal role in a enterprise-wide data modernization program centered around transitioning major database architectures over to Snowflake.

In this role, you will help design and execute advanced data engineering solutions while upholding the highest standards of data protection, reliability, and governance across all system components.

Advantages
Workplace Flexibility: Hybrid work model based out of either Montreal, QC or Toronto, ON.

High-Impact Mandate: Direct contribution to a core cloud migration program essential to company operations.

Agile & Collaborative Culture: Work alongside a forward-thinking team dedicated to continuous learning and technical excellence.

Responsibilities
Engineer, build, and refine robust data pipelines and transformation workflows to support the enterprise migration to Snowflake.

Partner with cross-functional Agile team members to translate program goals into functional, scalable solutions.

Maintain top-tier data security, privacy, and integrity standards across all delivery phases.

Write clean code, develop Python scripts, and leverage CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment automation.

Demonstrate strong analytical problem-solving to address complex architectural challenges and re-prioritize duties in a dynamic environment.

Engage actively in sprint ceremonies, technical discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.

Experience: Minimum of 7 years in technical software development and data engineering roles.

Core Stack: Deep technical proficiency with Snowflake, IICS (Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services), and AWS.

Programming Skills: Strong expertise in Python and solid core concepts in software/systems engineering.

DevOps Knowledge: Proven understanding of CI/CD concepts and automated deployment practices.

Soft Skills: Highly analytical with keen attention to detail, strong adaptability, problem-solving mindset, and a continuous learning drive.

Language Proficiency: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.

Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to interact with centralized internal departments (e.g., Operations / HR / Finance / Legal / Contracts / Sales) that support the organization in Canada and that do not speak French.
