Workland is recruiting on behalf of a recognized company, well established in its North American industry, operating two plants in Quebec, Canada.

Specializing in commercial printing, the company serves major clients throughout Canada and relies on high-performance equipment, experienced teams, and rigorous quality standards. We are looking for an Offset Press Operator (Feeder / Assistant Operator) who wants to support press operations effectively, develop technical skills, and grow within a structured industrial environment. No prior press experience is required — full training is provided through on-the-job mentorship.

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the press department supervisor, the Offset Press Operator (Feeder / Assistant Operator) is responsible for supplying presses with raw materials and consumables, preparing paper, and supporting production operations. The successful candidate contributes directly to the efficiency, quality, and continuity of press team activities.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare, check, and deliver required paper according to production priorities.
  • Perform quality control checks on raw materials before use.
  • Prepare equipment and materials required for make-readies and job changes.
  • Ensure continuous supply of paper, solvents, solutions, and other consumables to the presses.
  • Assist press operators during make-readies, production changes, and routine operations.
  • Participate in problem analysis and resolution to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Contribute to efficient raw material management and waste reduction.
  • Maintain work areas, equipment, and production stations in a clean and safe condition.
  • Participate in cleaning, recycling, and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Ensure the availability of consumables required for production operations.
  • Collaborate closely with press team members.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication during shift handovers.
  • Follow and promote occupational health and safety procedures.
  • Report any hazardous situation, anomaly, or issue that could affect safety, quality, or productivity.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in printing or industrial production is considered an asset — no prior press experience is required, as full training is provided through on-the-job mentorship.
  • Good physical condition and ability to handle materials safely.
  • Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented and proactive approach.
