Salary: $130,000 - 170,000 per year
Requirements:
- At least 6 years of experience in data-focused consulting, business analysis, or advisory roles, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead position
- Demonstrated client-facing delivery experience and ability to manage senior stakeholders
- Strong SQL skills, including querying, profiling, and validating data
- Solid knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT patterns
- Experience creating BRDs, source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, user stories, and process flows
- Strong understanding of the SDLC and Agile delivery, with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Bachelors degree required
- Preferred: consulting or professional services experience; familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP; exposure to BI and visualization tools; experience in data governance, data quality, or metadata management; Python or other scripting for data analysis; and experience supporting AI/ML or advanced analytics use cases
Responsibilities:
- Advise client executives, data owners, and product owners as a trusted partner
- Lead discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews to understand business drivers, decisions, and pain points
- Define problems, evaluate options, and present evidence-based recommendations to executive audiences
- Build agreement across competing priorities and align data definitions between business units
- Identify opportunities to expand our client impact and contribute to proposals and project scoping
- Translate business objectives into data requirements, including metrics, KPIs, business rules, and definitions
- Profile and analyse client source data to assess its structure, quality, gaps, and lineage
- Create data flow diagrams, source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, and conceptual or logical data models
- Lead gap analyses and impact assessments for new data initiatives and system changes
- Work with data engineers, architects, analysts, and QA teams to design and validate data solutions
- Guide the design of data pipelines, integrations, reporting layers, and analytics products
- Manage requirements traceability, UAT, data validation, and reconciliation through go-live
- Contribute to engagement planning, estimation, and risk management
- Mentor junior consultants and analysts
- Help develop our data consulting methods, templates, and best practices
