Robot Welding Operator – Steel Manufacturing

IS2 Workforce Solutions is looking for a Robot Welding Operator for a steel manufacturing client in the Holland Landing area.

$27–$30/hour – Based on Experience

Shifts Available:

• Days: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Afternoons: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM

The Role

We are looking for a Robot Welding Operator to join a busy steel manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating robotic welding equipment and a background in steel welding or fabrication.

Duties

• Operate and monitor robotic welding systems for steel fabrication
• Load, position, and secure steel components
• Set up welding machines, fixtures, wire, gas, and welding parameters
• Verify robot programs and make basic parameter adjustments
• Perform basic troubleshooting of robotic welding equipment
• Replace welding wire, contact tips, nozzles, and other consumables
• Perform minor equipment maintenance and keep work areas clean
• Use measuring tools and welding inspection equipment
• Follow production schedules and maintain production requirements
• Complete production and quality documentation
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
• Work closely with welders, machine operators, maintenance staff, and supervisors
• Report equipment issues, quality concerns, or safety hazards

Requirements

• Previous experience operating robotic welding equipment is preferred
• Experience with steel welding and fabrication
• Ability to read and understand welding and shop drawings
• Knowledge of MIG welding processes is an asset
• Basic understanding of welding parameters including voltage, amperage, wire speed, and gas flow
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to safely lift and handle steel components
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Assets:

• Robotic welding programming experience
• Experience using robot teach pendants
• CNC or automated equipment experience
• MIG welding experience
