The firm supports condominium corporations, property managers, developers, institutions andmercial clients across Ontario, delivering projects ranging from existing-building rehabilitation and condition assessments through to structural design, new construction and construction administration.
Due to continued growth, this organization is seeking Structural and Building Science professionals ranging from Intermediate through Senior level.This role will suit an engineer who enjoys a diverse portfolio rather than being restricted to a single niche. Your new role
- Conduct condition assessments and investigations of existing structures and building envelope systems.
- Prepare technical reports, engineering rmendations and rehabilitation strategies.
- Prepare drawings, technical specifications and tender documentation.
- Support reserve fund studies and capital planning projects.
- Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, RFIs and change requests.
- Perform construction reviews and site inspections.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, property managers and consultants.
- Participate in tendering, contract administration and construction-phase services.
- Manage project budgets, schedules and deliverables where appropriate.
- Support and mentor junior staff depending on level of experience.
What you'll need to succeed
- We are interested in candidates from either a Structural Engineering or Building Science background.
- Experience in some or all of the following would be advantageous:
- Structural engineering consulting
