Technical Architect Azure Infrastructure

Location: Remote

Job Description

  • 15+ years of IT experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Azure Infrastructure, Azure Migrate, Azure Networking, Azure IaaS/PaaS, Data Center, Cloud Security, SIAM, Data/Storage, Azure Key Vault, and Azure IAM.
  • Experience working with teams of 5+ members, providing technical guidance, management, and governance.
  • Willingness to provide 24x7 support and work flexible shifts.

Primary Skills

  • Expertise in on-premises/public cloud infrastructure assessments using Azure Migrate.
  • Experience driving cloud solutioning and Azure activities for large, complex migrations.
  • Ensure proposed solutions cover Azure strategy, stakeholder management, business applications, infrastructure, and value-for-money considerations.
  • Working experience across various industry domains such as Banking, Healthcare, and Insurance.
  • Understanding of customer infrastructure landscapes and experience designing and building Azure Landing Zones.
  • Strong understanding of TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and ROI (Return on Investment).
  • Ability to provide Azure target architecture, including Bill of Materials (BoM), pricing, and licensing-related details.
  • Create Azure target solution architecture diagrams covering Azure services, including HLD and LLD.
  • Experience migrating on-premises workloads to Azure using Azure Migrate.
  • Strong troubleshooting experience with Azure and Windows environments, including processor, networking, clustering, I/O, memory, and related issues.
  • Ability to define and realize end-to-end solution architecture addressing business processes, specifications, domain regulations, system quality attributes, and solution economics.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows File and Print Services and troubleshooting cluster-related issues.
  • Hands-on experience with server consolidation and Windows Clustering.
  • Strong administration skills with DNS, WINS, and DHCP servers.
  • Strong knowledge of upgrading and migrating Windows Servers to later versions.
  • Strong knowledge of server backup and restoration.
  • Hands-on experience restoring OS and data files from backups.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and managing DFS (Distributed File System).

Secondary Skills

  • Design infrastructure solutions.
  • Design Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) solutions.
  • Design identity, governance, and monitoring solutions, with at least minimum exposure.
  • Work with internal stakeholders, customer stakeholders, and project managers to understand migration requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure technical risks are identified and mitigated through a rigorous risk mitigation plan.
  • Actively participate in post-project reviews and capture key lessons learned to improve future engagements.

Certifications Good to Have

  • AZ-305: Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions
  • AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator
