Senior Accounts Payable Specialist – with Growth Potential!

Additional responsibilities include:
- Managing and maintaining data such as project codes, billing parameters, contract terms and tax settings
- Evaluating and improving workflows to drive automation and efficiency
- Managing payroll batch exports
- Supporting the development and implementation of AP policies and procedures
- Maintaining strong internal controls and segregation of duties
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and collaborative team player who enjoys improving processes and systems through automation. They are proactive, detail-oriented, and take pride in their work, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Minimum 7+ years of dedicated Accounts Payable experience
- Experience in a project-based engineering, construction, or systems integration environment is considered an asset
- Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency with ERP systems is required (Experience with Deltek Vision, Vantagepoint, or a similar job-cost accounting ERP is preferred)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Outlook, with advanced Excel skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to internal controls
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Humble, team-first attitude with a willingness to collaborate and support others
