RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage procurement activities for assigned suppliers and commodity groups.
• Issue and manage purchase orders while ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
• Monitor supplier performance and proactively address risks related to quality, cost, delivery, and capacity.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while supporting sourcing and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and service agreements with suppliers.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, inventory, and quality teams to resolve supply-related issues.
• Expedite critical orders and coordinate recovery plans when supply disruptions occur.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data within ERP/MRP systems.
• Investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies, invoice variances, and supplier-related concerns.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance purchasing efficiency and supply reliability.
• Analyze inventory and purchasing data to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 3 years of purchasing or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and procurement activities.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience coordinating domestic and international procurement activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working within an ERP/MRP environment; SAP experience is considered an asset.
• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field is preferred.
• Professional designations such as CSCP, SCMP, or related certifications are considered assets.
