As the business continues to expand, they are seeking an experienced Head of Construction to lead project delivery teams and drive successful execution from project handover through to closeout.Your New RoleAs Head of Construction, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of construction projects from design, pre-construction handover throughpletion. You will oversee a team of project managers, construction managers, superintendents, and field staff, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.You will provide both operational and strategic leadership across the construction function, translating approved scopes, budgets, and schedules into effective execution plans while protecting project profitability and maintaining strong client relationships. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership and oversight across multiple projects, ensuring alignment withpany delivery standards and client expectations.
  • Managing project financial performance, including forecasting, cost control, buyout strategy, change management, and gross profit protection.
  • Leading project scheduling and execution activities, ensuring teams proactively manage resources, materials, subcontractors, site logistics, and critical milestones.
  • Driving accountability for change order management and ensuring all scope changes are properly documented, approved, andmunicated before work proceeds.
  • Maintaining strong client relationships through regularmunication, issue resolution, project reporting, and successful project oues.
  • Overseeing project quality assurance and safety programs, including site audits,pliance initiatives, deficiency management, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Leading project mobilization, handovers, closeout activities, final cost reviews, and project recordpletion.
  • Managing subcontractor and supplier relationships while evaluating performance, capacity, quality, and overall project contribution.
  • Providing mentorship, coaching, performance management, workforce planning, recruitment, and succession planning for both office and field teams.
  • Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders across pre-construction, design, finance, sales, and operations to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Delivering regular reporting to senior leadership on project performance, financial forecasts, risk management activities, resource planning, and corrective action initiatives.
  • Promoting a culture of accountability, transparency, safety, collaboration, and proactive problem-solving across the organization.

What You Need to SucceedTo be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience leading construction projects, with a strong background in project delivery, operations, and field leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project financials, forecasting, budgeting, cost control, change management, and margin protection.
  • Strong understanding of construction scheduling, procurement, subcontractor management, quality control, and project controls.
  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing project teams and field personnel.
  • Excellentmunication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and client-facing skills.
  • Soundmercial judgment with the ability to make informed decisions in fast-paced project environments.
  • Experience delivering telmunications, utility, infrastructure, mission-critical, industrial, or similarplex construction projects is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with design-build project delivery methodologies is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management, scheduling, and cost reporting software.
  • Ability to travel to project sites and meet with clients, consultants, and trade partners as required.
  • A demonstratedmitment to workplace safety, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
