Job description
Our financial services client is seeking an API Specialist (Secret, 5+ years) to build system-to-system integrations using SOAP/REST protocols and web services technologies
Join a banking environment supporting integration and solution architecture initiatives within a complex enterprise landscape. This role focuses on building custom APIs, plug-ins, and standards-based web services integrations using SOAP/REST protocols, messaging systems, and CI/CD tools. The position offers exposure to integration patterns, streaming concepts, and enterprise messaging technologies in a regulated environment.
12- month Contract
Remote (Ottawa est.)
Must hold Secret clearance
Must Haves
- 5+ years building system-to-system integrations and custom APIs
- SOAP/REST protocols, web services, message-oriented integration, and streaming technologies
- Web service standards such as SOAP, REST, XML, WSDL, XSD, XQuery, XSLT, and JSON
- CI/CD tools including Jenkins and ArgoCD, plus version control systems Git and SVN
- Secret clearance and university degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
Nice to Have
- Demonstrated solution architecture and integration experience
- Messaging systems including JMS and Red Hat AMQ
- Agile / Scrum and/or DevOps
Responsibilities
- Build system-to-system integrations
- Develop custom APIs and plug-ins
- Design standards-based web services access protocols
- Implement integration patterns using SOAP/REST protocols
- Work with message-oriented integration and streaming technologies
- Use CI/CD tools including Jenkins and ArgoCD
