Digital Energy Solutions is shaping the next generation of intelligent buildings through software-driven technologies that improve energy performance, occupant comfort, and operational efficiency. As part of a fast-growing organization within Schneider Electric's Software & Services division, the team develops Room Management Systems that bring together connected devices, cloud services, and user-centric experiences across hospitality, healthcare, life sciences, and mixed-use environments. As a Room Management Systems Architect, you will play a key role in defining the architectural direction of a broad and evolving portfolio that spans room controllers, thermostats, sensing technologies, lighting and HVAC controls, energy management solutions, mobile applications, analytics platforms, and integrations with building and property management ecosystems. Working alongside experts in software, hardware, firmware, product management, user experience, and system design, you will help transform complex requirements into scalable, high-quality solutions that shape the future of connected spaces. What you'll be doing Shape the architectural vision and long-term evolution of Schneider Electric's Room Management Systems portfolio, serving as a trusted technical leader across the organization. Drive the end-to-end architecture of a connected ecosystem spanning room controllers, sensors, edge devices, cloud services, mobile applications, and integrations with building and property management platforms. Define the system frameworks, integration patterns, interoperability strategies, and technology foundations that enable scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions. Design the digital experiences that underpin intelligent room operations, from occupancy management and comfort optimization to guest check-in/check-out journeys and PMS integrations. Partner with Product, UX, Software, Hardware, Firmware, and Solution Architecture teams to transform customer needs and business objectives into practical, high-impact solutions. Influence architecture decisions across HVAC controls, lighting, blind control, access management, occupancy sensing, and energy optimization technologies. Champion consistency and interoperability across a diverse technology landscape, including BACnet, Modbus, Zigbee, BLE, Matter, Wi-Fi, MQTT, REST APIs, and emerging industry standards. Guide critical technology decisions throughout the product lifecycle while ensuring alignment with business priorities, product roadmaps, cybersecurity requirements, and long-term platform strategy. Establish and maintain the architectural foundations of the portfolio, including system specifications, reference architectures, compatibility frameworks, interface definitions, and technical documentation. Define and uphold expectations for performance, scalability, reliability, cybersecurity, maintainability, and connected device lifecycle management. Support the development of prototypes, proof-of-concepts, pilot deployments, and strategic integrations that help bring new ideas from concept to reality. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to multidisciplinary engineering teams, helping solve complex challenges and driving successful delivery from concept through release. Collaborate with strategic customers, partners, and system integrators to understand evolving market needs and influence the future direction of the platform. Contribute to innovation initiatives, technology roadmaps, and the evaluation of emerging areas such as AI, machine learning, digital twins, IoT, edge computing, and occupant-centric building experiences.
