Superior Glove Works Ltd.is currently hiring for a Facility Maintenance / Warehouse Associate to work out of its Global Headquarters located in Acton ON Canada.
More about the role:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Facility Maintenance and Warehouse Associate is responsible for maintaining the Acton facility and grounds, supporting production equipment maintenance, and completing warehouse activities including order picking, packing, inventory counts and truck loading.
This individual is highly proactive with strong technical skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
•Maintain the facility, grounds and mechanical equipment through inspections, repairs, groundskeeping and snow removal.
•Complete general repairs, including minor plumbing, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, painting and drywall work.
•Respond to maintenance service requests and keep the maintenance shop and facility areas clean, organized and safe.
•Support machine building and production maintenance, including troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, equipment modifications and lockout/tagout procedures.
•Maintain dip line forms, racks, spare parts inventories, equipment logs and other required maintenance documentation.
•Coordinate routine maintenance schedules, semi-annual shutdown activities, contractors, suppliers and external service providers.
•Pick orders using handheld devices and warehouse equipment, including retrieving products from different rooms and heights.
•Pack and process orders accurately, including shrink wrapping skids, stacking and building skids, and confirming product specifications.
•Complete cycle counts, assist with product weights and measurements, and load trucks safely and efficiently.
•Maintain required equipment certifications, WHMIS training and other annual training requirements.
•Support operations and engineering projects and perform other duties as assigned.
•Occasional travel to other locations or facilities may be required for equipment, supplies and company projects or events.
Qualifications:
•At least two years of experience in facility or mechanical maintenance, warehouse operations, or a combination of related experience.
•Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
•Valid driver's licence with a satisfactory driving record; required equipment certifications and WHMIS training must be maintained.
•Experience using hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment, with the ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, schematics or CAD drawings.
•Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, with a willingness to learn.
•Attention to detail; initiative; sound organization and time management; and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
