An established Ottawa-area residential builder is seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to lead estimating, purchasing, tendering, procurement, and contract administration functions across a growing portfolio of residential projects. This leadership role offers the opportunity to influence costing strategy, strengthen procurement processes, manage trade and supplier relationships, and support operational decision-making across the business.
Your new role

Reporting to senior operations leadership, the successful candidate will oversee estimating for base builds, upgrades, custom changes, take-offs, tenders, and purchasing activities while leading a small team responsible for estimating and procurement support. The position plays a key role in ensuring pricing accuracy, contractpliance, cost control, and efficient project execution.

What you'll need to succeed

• 7+ years of experience in construction estimating, purchasing, procurement, contracts, or cost management.
• Strong understanding of residential construction methods, tendering, scopes of work, and subcontractor management.
• Experience leading teams and managingpeting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strongmercial acumen with the ability to review budgets, pricing, contracts, purchase orders, and cost variances.
• Experience using construction management, estimating, or procurement software platforms, NewStar Enterprise or a similar residential construction management,estimating or procurement system is required.
