The person assigned to this role will be responsible for :
Team Support & Projects
- Lead payroll projects and / or acquisitions in conjunction with payroll team members and our partners
- Support and ensure a rigorous and beneficial transition of the organization's acquisitions and manage exceptions
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure the seamless integration of payroll processes and needs
- Participate in payroll testing in collaboration with the HRMS team
- Act as a partner for all stakeholders
- Act as a payroll Subject Matter Expert (SME)
- Perform a complete analysis and provide recommendations to standardize discrepancies related to earnings and allowable deductions
- Ensure deadlines are met
- Anticipate the challenges and impacts of projects
- Provide recommendations on complex situations
Quality control
Carry out analyses of the various problems affecting processes and the employee experience, and proactively identify solutionsCompile the monthly KPI dashboard by gathering data from internal systems and files, identify trends, and provide explanations and recommendations on data variationsImplement quality control measures within the payroll team and across the organization to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and efficiencyDocumentation & Training
Implement a documentation process to enhance the efficiency of processes and their communication aspectsCollaborate and support the team by identifying needs, developing a training plan, and coordinating analyst trainingProvide support, coaching, and training to payroll analyst and our partnersPropose and support the development of e-learning tools to facilitate the training and support of new analystsEnsure to monitor all legislative changes, analyze their impacts on our processes, and implement the necessary updatesWhat you'll bring to us :
Solid technical knowledge of payroll and project management skillsMinimum 10-15 years experience in payroll (National Payroll Institute certification is an asset)Excellent knowledge of the Workday systemAdvanced MS Excel skillsKnowledge and understanding of learning principles, training methods and techniquesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal / written) to engage with various stakeholders and business partners across all levels of the organization.Ability to demonstrate initiative, be proactive, and take ownershipAbility to develop, deliver and evaluate a training planAbility to prioritize and coordinate projects within deadlinesAbility to prepare training content, learning tools and user guides in document or website formatCustomer / employee service orientedAbility to summarize complex situations effectivelyAbility to offer advice and support to team membersAbility to produce detailed, technical documentsStrong innovative, creative, and problem-solving skillsTeam player, autonomous and highly organizedBilingualism required (French and English).
