Our energy client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to assist with translating business and data requirements into clear technical specifications and actionable solutions

Calgary-based client - Candidates will work a hybrid of in-office and WFH

Must Haves:

• 5+ year's experience as a Business Analyst with experience in data reporting and solution designs
• Experience translating business and data requirements into clear technical specifications and actionable solutions
• Proven experience in data analysis and data management, including data mapping
• Strong background in reporting analysis.
• Experience with Power BI reporting. Primivera experience is an asset
• Experience in generating reports

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge SAP data
• Data Warehousing experience
• Familiarity with ITIL or Data Governance frameworks

Responsibilities

• Understanding and documenting business processes and reporting requirements.
• Assessing reports and defining required data attributes.
• Performing source system and data analysis and coordinating with other functional teams to obtain required information.
• Defining business rules and data logic for reporting solutions.
• Producing data mapping documents and functional specifications.
• Proactively managing and following up on outstanding actions and dependencies.
• Leading report validation and data reconciliation with business and technical teams.
• Coordinating issue resolution, defect triage, and testing activities
