Senior.NET Developer (VB.NET / C#)

Overview:

The client is looking for a Senior+ .NET developer who combines hands-on delivery with an advisory component. The person codes in both VB.NET and C#, designs and documents applications, and is accountable for the quality and security of what they deliver. They also analyze client and partner needs, recommend solutions with budget and deadlines in mind, and plan the work to meet commitments. VB.NET, SOAP and WCF alongside RESTful APIs and Azure DevOps point to an application landscape where legacy components and modern delivery practices coexist. The 10-year threshold in a similar role sets the bar above a mid-senior profile.

Target candidate: a .NET developer with at least 10 years of practice, comfortable in VB.NET as much as C#, who has built and integrated SOAP, WCF and REST services, and who delivers through CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps within an Agile team. Their resume shows engagements where they analyzed needs and recommended solutions while continuing to code.

Requirements

Required:

• In-depth knowledge of VB.NET and C# .NET

• Profile whose .NET experience is limited to C#, with no demonstrated VB.NET project.

• Architect or Tech Lead profile with no demonstrated hands-on coding in recent engagements.
  
• Profile whose CI/CD experience relies solely on other tooling, with no demonstrated Azure DevOps.
  
• Profile with 10 years in IT overall but fewer than 10 years in a comparable development role.
