Senior AI Development Consultant to design and maintain AI applications using LLMs, AI Agents, RAG

Our public sector client is seeking a Senior AI Development Consultant (10+ years) to design and maintain AI applications using LLMs, AI Agents, RAG models, and full-stack development

Join a multidisciplinary Applied Intelligence team building AI capabilities across the organization. This role focuses on AI application development, AI Agents, GenAI, data science, and full-stack solutions supporting enterprise initiatives. The consultant will work with AI engineers, data scientists, software engineers, and internal business stakeholders to deliver scalable AI platforms and applications. The engagement includes hands-on work across AI models, predictive analysis, APIs, databases, and deployment environments.

Contract term: ASAP to December 24,

Toronto, Hybrid 3 day per week onsite

Must Haves

• 2+ years in AI Development and LLM application development
• Hands-on development of AI Agents, RAG models, and ML models
• Strong programming with Python, SQL, and Python Flask
• Full-stack programming experience with React/Angular
• CI/CD, automated testing, Docker, and Kubernetes for AI or data engineering projects
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering

Nice to Have

• Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud platforms
• Predictive analysis or statistical modelling
• Business-oriented analytics experience

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain AI applications
• Develop scalable software solutions for enterprise AI initiatives
• Integrate data from APIs, relational databases, and vector databases
• Build full-stack solutions including front-end, back-end APIs, and databases
• Support deployment and product quality across environments
• Maintain and improve data science ecosystems including data pipelines and business applications
• Research and evaluate solutions for programming and AI development challenges
