Senior SAP SuccessFactors Payroll Consultant to support the our client with payroll, workforce

Our client seeking an experienced SAP SuccessFactors Payroll Consultant to support them with payroll, workforce administration, and ERP transformation activities.

The successful consultant will bring strong hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors Payroll, including payroll configuration, compensation and salary updates, statutory and regulatory changes, year-end payroll activities, testing, troubleshooting, and system implementation support.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll & Workforce Administration Support the implementation of compensation-related updates, including negotiated pay adjustments and salary structure changes.

Maintain and update payroll and HR system configuration related to compensation and employee records.

Support legislative, tax, pension, and statutory payroll updates as required.

Coordinate payroll year-end preparation activities, including system updates, testing, and validation.

Apply and test system updates, patches, and regulatory changes to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.

Workforce Operations Support employee onboarding processes for newly elected or appointed officials and other employee groups.

Assist with seasonal workforce transitions and related workforce administration activities.

Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system and process issues impacting payroll and HR operations.

Support work schedule and workforce configuration updates within HR systems.

ERP / Transformation Program Support Participate in end-to-end testing activities for enterprise system transformation initiatives.

Support system integration, user acceptance, payroll validation, and regression testing.

Assist with test planning, execution, issue resolution, and documentation.

Support operational readiness, cutover, deployment, and go-live activities.

Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure successful transition to new business processes and system capabilities.

Must Haves

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors Payroll.
• Experience with payroll configuration, maintenance, and production support.
• Demonstrated experience implementing compensation and salary-related changes within SAP/SuccessFactors.
• Strong understanding of Canadian payroll processes, taxation, statutory requirements, and year-end payroll activities.
• Experience applying and testing legislative and regulatory payroll updates.
• Strong experience with payroll testing, validation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Experience with end-to-end testing, integration testing, UAT, and regression testing.
• Experience supporting system cutover, deployment, and go-live activities.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting municipal, government, or broader public-sector payroll environments.
• Experience working with complex, unionized workforces and negotiated compensation/pay adjustments.
• Experience supporting large-scale SAP/HR transformation or ERP implementation programs.
• Knowledge of Canadian pension and public-sector payroll requirements.
