Our client is seeking a DevOps Engineering Director (SECRET Clearance, 8+ years) to lead infrastructure and deployment initiatives using Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
Join a hands-on infrastructure leadership role focused on secure, reliable, and scalable cloud environments across Azure and GCP. This position drives cloud architecture, CI/CD automation, observability, and infrastructure optimization supporting engineering delivery initiatives. The role includes ownership of cloud security, compliance alignment, and infrastructure automation within complex multi-cloud environments. Candidates will contribute directly to DevOps strategy, cloud migrations, and operational reliability initiatives.

Must Haves
- 8+ years in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering roles
- Holds a valid Government of Canada SECRET clearance (Top Secret is an asset)
- Clearance is current and able to be transferred to a new sponsoring organization
- Expert-level Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform including AKS, Azure DevOps, GKE, Cloud Run, IAM, and networking
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or Pulumi
Nice to Have
- CSO or Alternate CSO experience for a PSPC-registered organization
- Familiarity with Security Assessment and Authorization leading to Authority to Operate
- Working knowledge of ITSG-33 and Protected B cloud controls
- Experience supporting SOC 2 Type II and ISO programs
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain highly available infrastructure in Azure and GCP
- Lead cloud migrations, hybrid cloud solutions, and cost optimization initiatives
- Implement Infrastructure as Code deployments using Terraform, Bicep, or Pulumi
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, or similar tools
- Build and maintain centralized logging, monitoring, and alerting systems
- Implement cloud security controls including IAM policies, secrets management, and vulnerability scanning
- Partner with developers, QA, and product teams to align infrastructure with business needs
Compensation package includes:
