Job description
Our energy sector client is seeking a Senior Workday Functional Consultant to assist with Payroll (Time Tracking & Absence) module optimization with the ability to advise on best practices and scalable solution design
Candidates must be located in Calgary (will be in-office 4 days/week in downtown Calgary)
Must Haves
- 8+ years of experience as a Workday Functional Consultant with experience in Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence functional experience
- Experience with Large-scale ERP harmonization, business transformation, or system harmonization initiatives
- Requirements gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, and stabilization across cross-functional programs
- Oracle Fusion integration impact assessment across upstream and downstream systems and business processes
Nice to Have
- Workday Payroll implementations for acquisitions, mergers, legal entity consolidations, or employee migrations
- Employee migration into an existing Workday tenant
- Unionized workforce considerations, complex pay practices, and workforce compliance requirements
- Canadian Payroll processes, legislation, and regulatory requirements
- Energy, utilities, manufacturing, or industrial sector experience
Responsibilities
- Lead the Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence workstream within the ERP harmonization program
- Facilitate workshops and requirements sessions with business stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Assess existing payroll, time, and absence configurations to identify reuse opportunities and configuration gaps
- Lead system integration testing, payroll parallel testing, user acceptance testing, and payroll validation activities
- Review payroll, absence, and time-related integrations and data flows
- Support cutover planning and payroll readiness activities
- Complete knowledge transfer to internal HRIS, HR, and Payroll teams
