Senior Azure DevOps / Platform Engineer

Contract: 6 months initially, with potential for extension
Location: Remote (Once a month at DT Office)
Experience: Min 5 years of DevOps Engineering

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Azure DevOps / Platform Engineer to join a technology team focused on building, automating, and enhancing cloud platforms and infrastructure.

This is an engineering-focused opportunity for someone with strong systems engineering and platform-building experience. The successful candidate will be comfortable designing and implementing infrastructure, developing automation, and working across cloud, Infrastructure as Code, source control, and CI/CD technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, automate, and maintain scalable cloud platforms and infrastructure.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform Cloud and Terraform Enterprise.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (ADO), Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Bitbucket.
• Develop Python-based automation and tooling.
• Work extensively with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services.
• Automate deployments, infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operational processes.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, deployment, and platform issues.
• Develop reusable platform components and automation frameworks.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and engineering teams.
• Contribute to improving platform reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or Systems Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Strong experience with Terraform Cloud and/or Terraform Enterprise.
• Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as:
  • Jenkins
  • GitHub Actions
  • Bitbucket
  • Azure DevOps
• Strong Python scripting and automation experience.
• Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code and cloud automation.
• Experience building platforms and infrastructure, rather than simply administering existing environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a hands-on engineering environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing enterprise-scale Azure platforms.
• Experience developing reusable Terraform modules.
• Azure networking, security, identity, and governance experience.
• DevSecOps experience.
• Kubernetes or containerization experience.
• Experience building internal developer platforms.
• Experience modernizing or migrating CI/CD environments.
• Azure or Terraform certifications.
