Hart House Restaurant is looking to hire experienced cooks to join the culinary banquet team. We offer a supportive work environment, and opportunities for professional development and growth.
Key Responsibilities :
- Preparing ingredients for cooking, including chopping and storing food.
- Washing and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables.
- Preparing, cooking and plating food according to quality standards.
- Monitoring food quality during food preparation.
- Operating ovens, stoves, food warming equipment.
- Setting up and breaking down work stations.
- Performing all other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience :
Food Safe certification required.High school diploma / G.E.D. equivalent.Fluent English language skills.Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 22 kilograms (50 pounds) without assistance.Frequent bending, standing and walking for extended periods of time required.Must be efficient and good knowledge of food safety practices.Ability to work in a high-volume restaurant and banquet kitchen environmentGood knowledge and skills in culinary trends.Legal Work Status : Must already possess necessary documentation to work legally in Canada.Job Type : Full-time
