Senior ERP Business Analyst - Mfg & Cost Acctg

Salary: $110,000 - 110,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require 5+ years of ERP Business Analyst experience, including substantial involvement in ERP implementations, transformations, or modernization programs.
• We need strong manufacturing environment experience.
• We require direct experience implementing or materially supporting manufacturing cost accounting and standard costing within an ERP setting.
• We need solid understanding of manufacturing costing concepts, including direct materials, labour, overhead, cost roll-ups, inventory valuation, production costs, and manufacturing variances.
• We need the ability to show how accurate costing and variance analysis support pricing, margin improvement, operational decisions, and profitability.
• We require senior-level Business Analysis expertise in requirements elicitation and management, workshop facilitation, process mapping and modelling, business process engineering/re-engineering, current-state and future-state analysis, fit-gap analysis, business and system requirements, requirements traceability, business cases and options analysis, stakeholder facilitation and consensus building, and decision/recommendation documentation.
• We require experience participating in ERP functional or system-design work and translating business needs into implementable solutions.
• We require experience working directly with ERP vendors, implementation partners, system integrators, or external consulting firms.
• We need strong analytical, facilitation, problem-solving, written communication, and stakeholder-management abilities.
• We require the ability to work effectively with senior leadership, Finance, Manufacturing, operational teams, technical teams, and frontline stakeholders.
• We require a bachelors degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or another field with substantial relevant ERP, manufacturing, and cost-accounting experience.
• We require the ability and willingness to work 100% onsite throughout the engagement.
• We require meaningful ERP experience in a manufacturing environment where operations and cost accounting were significant components.
• Candidates must be capable of operating comfortably at both strategic and detailed levels.
• Candidates must be able to understand current operations, challenge existing processes constructively, design improved future-state processes, translate decisions into ERP requirements, and work effectively with business stakeholders and implementation specialists.
• Manufacturing and cost-accounting experience are fundamental for this role.
• Candidates whose ERP background does not include meaningful exposure to manufacturing operations and manufacturing cost accounting will not be considered.

Responsibilities:

• We lead requirements discovery across Manufacturing, Operations, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, Field Services, and IT through workshops, interviews, working sessions, and other structured elicitation methods.
• We develop and maintain current-state and future-state process maps, identifying inefficiencies, control gaps, manual workarounds, and opportunities for standardization and improvement.
• We apply business process engineering and re-engineering techniques to design scalable future-state processes rather than simply replicating existing practices in the new ERP.
• We translate business needs into clear business, functional, system, data, integration, reporting, and control requirements using appropriate Business Analysis frameworks and documentation methods.
• We facilitate cross-functional discussions, document decisions and recommendations, resolve conflicting requirements, and help stakeholders align on future-state processes and system design.
• We perform or support ERP fit-gap analysis by comparing requirements against standard ERP capabilities and identifying where configuration, process changes, integrations, reporting, or other solutions are needed.
• We participate in ERP functional and system-design sessions and ensure proposed solutions align with business requirements, operational objectives, controls, scalability, and maintainability.
• We act as a key liaison between us and the ERP implementation partner, including clarifying requirements, reviewing proposed solutions and deliverables, resolving issues, and validating design decisions.
• We support the design and implementation of standard costing and manufacturing cost-accounting processes, including materials, labour, overhead, cost roll-ups, production costs, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variances.
• We help define requirements for variance analysis and full variance decomposition so the business can better understand manufacturing cost drivers and improve pricing, margins, operational performance, and profitability.
• We analyze the costing implications of manufacturing activities such as bills of material, routings, labour, overhead allocation, production transactions, inventory movements, and engineering changes.
• We support process and system requirements related to engineer-to-order and configure-to-order manufacturing.
• We develop business cases, options analyses, impact assessments, recommendations, and supporting decision materials for significant process and ERP decisions.
• We support requirements traceability through solution design, configuration, testing, user acceptance, and implementation.
• We contribute to data migration, integration, reporting, testing, business readiness, process documentation, and deployment activities as needed.

Sirius Instrumentation and Controls Inc. is undergoing a major business transformation by implementing Epicor Kinetic ERP across our Canadian and U.S. operations. Our Agincourt ERP Project will replace multiple legacy systems with a single integrated platform supporting Manufacturing and Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, Field Services, Finance, and IT. We are strengthening our manufacturing and financial capabilities, including standard costing and manufacturing cost accounting to improve visibility into production costs, cost variances, pricing, margins, and profitability. This is a contract engagement of approximately 12 months, and we work 100% onsite with regular in-person collaboration across Finance, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, IT, project leadership, and our ERP implementation team. The role offers a salary of $110,000 per year and on-site parking.
