About the role Pangeo Group is an automotive parts manufacturer with seven manufacturing bases and three R&D centres across North America, Asia and Europe.
Its main products are power system components, interior and exterior parts, and precision molds.
Pangeo Corporation was established in Windsor, Ontario in 1993, and the group is now building its first North American die casting plant in Vaughan.
The HR Generalist runs the day-to-day HR work for the corporate office and supports the divisions: recruitment and onboarding, payroll and benefits administration, employee records, and the everyday employment questions that come with them.
You work to the policies and processes the Corporate HR Manager sets, and you keep them running accurately and on time.
This is a hands-on generalist role across the full employee lifecycle.
It suits someone who is organized, discreet, and comfortable moving between recruiting, payroll administration, and employee questions in the same day.
Responsibilities Recruitment and onboarding Run full-cycle recruitment for assigned corporate and division roles: compliant job postings, screening, interview scheduling, reference checks, and offers.
Coordinate onboarding end to end — paperwork, system access, orientation, and first-week check-ins.
Maintain the applicant tracking system and keep candidate records and hiring documentation current.
Assist with work permit and immigration paperwork for incoming staff, gathering documentation for the Corporate HR Manager and external counsel.
HR policies, compliance, and records Apply HR policies and procedures day to day, and flag gaps or inconsistencies to the Corporate HR Manager.
Keep HR practices in line with the Ontario Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Human Rights Code, and AODA.
Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and HR files, and keep statutory documentation audit-ready.
Prepare and maintain WSIB claim and return-to-work documentation, and support employee relations matters and investigations as directed.
Payroll, benefits, and performance support Administer payroll inputs and group benefits enrolment, changes, and terminations in line with Ontario requirements.
Reconcile benefit invoices and resolve discrepancies with providers.
Coordinate the performance review and salary review cycles: schedules, forms, reminders, and completed-record tracking.
Employee experience and HR administration Act as the first point of contact for employee questions on policies, benefits, and procedures, escalating what needs the Corporate HR Manager.
Coordinate mandatory training, including WHMIS and health and safety, and track completion.
Support engagement activities, company events, and internal HR communications.
Prepare HR reports and headcount data for the Corporate HR Manager and division leaders.

Qualifications 3+ years of progressive HR generalist experience, ideally supporting both a corporate office and operating divisions.
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; CHRP or working toward CHRP preferred.
Working knowledge of Ontario ESA, OHSA, Human Rights Code, AODA, and WSIB processes.
HRIS, ATS, and payroll system proficiency; strong Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Excel.
Recruiting in a manufacturing or industrial environment an asset; exposure to hourly, skilled trades, and salaried recruitment an asset.
Immigration or work permit administration experience an asset; English required.
