About Our Opportunity

Under the direction of the Communities, Sport and Recreation Executive Director, the Coordinator is responsible for program coordination and assistance to the Executive Director, Communities, Sport and Recreation (CSR), and its senior leadership team.

As the PAO1-2/Project Coordinator, you will provide program coordination and operational support for divisional projects, financial processes, issues management, and business workflows. You will monitor project deliverables and timelines; prepare financial, accountability, and performance reports; coordinate and draft ministerial and executive correspondence; and support effective collaboration with internal and external partners. You will also develop and maintain consistent processes, tools, and tracking systems that support informed decision-making and the timely delivery of divisional priorities.

The Coordinator optimizes critical business operations, co-developing overarching objectives and strategies to improve the functionality and integrity of business and administrative systems and processes. The incumbent supports the divisions with budget and business planning process and accountability reporting systems and processes including key control functions.

Primary Accountabilities

• Provides leadership, direction and oversight for the planning and implementation of corporate projects and initiatives that impact across the divison and department.
• Provides project coordination and research support to the division.
• Focused on accountability for results: analyzes various approaches; develops business cases; assess scenarios;
• Makes recommendations/ and documents as appropriate.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have a bachelor’s degree plus one (1) year of experience in a related field or an acceptable equivalent from a recognized post-secondary institution.

You have program management/client service experience in a busy, fast-paced environment. You are familiar with administering programs and have experience developing workback plans, advising clients on strategy and approach, as well as experience managing a budget.

We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.

Pay Grade: PR 06 - PR 10

Salary Range: $2,112.87 - $3,029.89 Bi-Weekly
