The Technology

You’ll work across a modern and diverse application environment. Strong experience with several of the following is highly valuable:

SQL – including complex query development and troubleshooting

Cloud technologies

You don’t need to be an expert in every technology listed. We’re looking for someone with strong development fundamentals, excellent troubleshooting skills and the curiosity to understand complex systems.


Responsibilities
What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll play a key role in keeping critical applications reliable, secure and continuously improving.

Your responsibilities will include:

Develop and implement solutions ranging from production break fixes and enhancements to security upgrades and modernization initiatives
Reverse engineer existing applications and code to understand how systems work and identify opportunities for improvement
Perform detailed root cause analysis on recurring technical and business issues
Identify opportunities to improve monitoring, logging and system observability
Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, service requests and complex technical issues
Develop system-level documentation, solution proposals, technical designs and workflow diagrams
Work closely with development, infrastructure, architecture and business teams to drive issues through to resolution
Participate in on-call and weekend support rotations for patching, releases and incident management
Identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement across applications, architecture and processes
Help ensure solutions are reliable, scalable, secure and aligned with architectural roadmaps
Work within an Agile development environment to deliver strategic technology initiatives
Partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into practical technical solutions
Build strong relationships with internal customers by providing transparency, resolving pain points and continuously improving IT services

Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline
5+ years of experience in application support, software development, business systems analysis or a similar technical role
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex applications and identify root causes—not just symptoms
Strong SQL skills, including writing and debugging complex queries
Hands-on experience troubleshooting applications built with technologies such as Java, Angular, React, Node.js, Apache Camel, Python or TypeScript
Experience troubleshooting MQ channels
Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) and frameworks such as ITIL
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
A design-focused mindset with an emphasis on clearly defining the problem before solving it
