Adecco is currently hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist for a full-time opportunity in Pickering, ON. This role is ideal for finance professionals with experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, vendor management, ERP systems, reconciliations, and month-end support who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable Processing
- Process high-volume accounts payable transactions, ensuring accurate coding, approvals, currencies, and entity allocation.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and verify supporting documentation.
- Review payment requests for compliance with internal controls and tax requirements.
- Set up and maintain vendor records within the ERP system.
Vendor Relations & Payments
- Reconcile vendor accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive working relationships.
- Prepare and process payments by cheque, EFT, and wire transfer.
- Assist in resolving invoice and payment-related issues.
Reporting & Month-End Support
- Support month-end closing activities and external audits.
- Review and process employee expense reports.
- Assist with expense allocations and reporting requirements.
- Help maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and controls.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and vendor information.
- Assist with inventory counts and other accounting-related activities as required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment.
- Experience using NetSuite or a similar ERP system.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, accounting principles, and internal controls.
- Experience working with multiple currencies and international transactions is an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and professionalism when handling confidential financial information. Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
