Job description

Alteo is seeking a Systems Administrator / DBA for a permanent position based in Montreal.

Responsibilities:

> Manage system administration to ensure the availability and reliability of the platform

  • Help define technical server requirements in coordination with project teams
  • Ensure the installation and configuration of systems
  • Ensure system administration (e.g., backup, restore, monitoring…)
  • Ensure performance monitoring, analysis, and evaluation
  • Ensure the management of production incidents and their resolution or escalation
  • Ensure system evolution and migration in accordance with technical recommendations and/or those of manufacturers and software vendors

> Ensure system security to guarantee the platform’s availability and reliability

  • Participate in defining the platform’s security policy
  • Monitor security incidents and escalate them as needed
  • Participate in platform security audits

> Contribute to developing colleagues’ skills to improve collective performance

  • Provide guidance, assistance, and support to colleagues

Profile:

  • College diploma or high school diploma in IT or equivalent
  • 5–8 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience in the electronic payments industry (a plus)
  • Networks and IT security
  • Databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL…)
  • Network Architecture (network protocols, WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, etc.)
  • Security Equipment (e.g., Keys, Cryptography, Digital Signatures…)
  • System Configuration Management
  • Technical Infrastructure (e.g., Data Center, Servers...)
  • Production Infrastructure (e.g., databases, monitoring, etc.)
  • Monitoring Solutions (e.g., Zabbix, Centreon, etc.)

Alteo est à la recherche d'un Administrateur Systèmes / DBA pour un poste permanent basé à Montréal.

Responsabilités:

> Assurer l'administration des systèmes dans le but de garantir la disponibilité et la fiabilité de la plateforme

  • Participer à la définition des besoins techniques en serveurs en coordination avec les équipes projets
  • Assurer l'installation et la configuration des systèmes
  • Assurer l'administration des systèmes (e.g. Sauvegarde, Restauration, Supervision…)
  • Assurer le suivi, l'analyse et l'évaluation des performances
  • Assurer la gestion des incidents de production et leurs résolutions sinon leurs cascades
  • Assurer l'évolution et la migration selon les préconisations techniques et/ou des fabricants et des éditeurs

> Assurer la sécurité des systèmes dans le but de garantir la disponibilité et la fiabilité de la plateforme

  • Participer à la définition de la politique de sécurité de la plateforme
  • Assurer le suivi des incidents de sécurité et leurs escalade
  • Participer aux audits de sécurité de la plateforme

> Contribuer au développement des compétences des collègues dans le but d'améliorer la performance collective

  • Assurer l'encadrement, l'appui et le soutien aux collègues

Profil:

  • DEC/BAC en TI ou l'équivalent
  • 5-8 années d'expérience dans un rôle similaire
  • Expérience dans l'industrie de la monétique (atout)
  • Réseaux et sécurité informatique
  • Base de Données (e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL…)
  • Architecture Réseaux (protocoles réseau, WAN, LAN, WI-FI, etc.)
  • Equipements Sécurité (e.g. Clés, Crypto, Signature…)
  • Gestion de Configuration des Systèmes
  • Infrastructure Technique (e.g. Datacenter, Serveurs...)
  • Infrastructures Production (e.g. BDD, Monitoring…)
  • Solutions de Monitoring (e.g. Zabbix, Centreon…)
