Accounts Payable 2 Month Contract

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable professional to join their finance team in Delta.

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business.

Responsibilities
- Create and maintain documentation and reports as assigned, including process documentation and manuals.

- Complete daily accounts payable and other tasks while meeting deadlines.

- Work with vendors and internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve discrepancies and incomplete documentation.

- Answer inquiries and resolve issues where applicable.

- Process vendor and supplier payments and prepare bank transfers.

- Reconcile invoices with POs, packing slips, vendor statements and payments.

- Assist with preparing supporting documentation for year-end and audit.

- Make recommendations for process improvements to attain efficiencies.

- Create and maintain documentation and reports as assigned.

- Process mail.

- Any other tasks or projects as assigned.

Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of accounts payable experience.

- Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English with exceptional customer relations skills.

- Intermediate computer skills that include the use of Excel experience with ERP systems and automated payables systems are preferred.

- Ability to multi-task, be well-organized and detail-oriented.

- Ability to coordinate and collaborate with a team and different stakeholders while operating in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

- Ability to solve problems and set priorities while working effectively and independently.

- Exceptional customer service skills communicating in a professional and respectful manner both internally and externally.

- Full cycle accounting knowledge is an asset

- Desire and ability to learn new things.
