Industrial Mechanic Millwright

We are seeking a highly autonomous and self-driven Sole Maintenance Technician to oversee facility machinery and plant operations. In this standalone role, you will be the sole on-site technical authority responsible for keeping our production equipment running at peak efficiency.

This position requires high mechanical confidence to independently diagnose, service, and maintain core metalworking equipment—specifically laser cutting systems, punch presses, and drill presses. For major specialized repairs or complex overhauls, you will serve as the primary site point of contact, coordinating directly with external trades, specialized contractors, and field service engineers.

Position: Maintenance Mechanic - 433a is not mandatory but preferred
Shift Time: Day shift - 7am to 3:30pm
Payrate: $35-45/hour depending on level of experience

Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, service, and install a variety of industrial production machinery and facility mechanical systems.
Respond promptly to mechanical disruptions and unscheduled downtime to restore normal operations safely and efficiently.
Perform routine equipment condition assessments to identify wear, potential failure points, and safety hazards before they cause disruptions.
Assist with machinery movement, new equipment installations, system retrofits, and plant expansion projects.
Analyze repeating technical issues and propose practical engineering or mechanical solutions to boost long-term equipment performance.
Execute scheduled preventative maintenance routines in accordance with plant PM schedules.
Record clear and precise logs of completed work, parts utilized, and equipment history.
Help refine existing maintenance protocols to support ongoing facility efficiency and reliability goals.

Qualifications
Experience: 4+ years of industrial maintenance or millwright experience within a modern manufacturing or industrial setting.
Technical Skills: High proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, drive systems, and power transmission components.
Electrical Knowledge: Basic electrical troubleshooting skills (controls, sensors, low-voltage systems) considered a strong asset.
Documentation & Blueprints: Demonstrated ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics, blueprints, and technical equipment manuals.
Equipment Certification: Prior experience or willingness to be certified on forklifts and aerial work platforms (boom/scissor lifts).
Vendor Management: Prior experience liaising with service contractors, equipment suppliers, or field engineers is a plus.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving mindset, solid communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
